In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, N2N suspends in-person rides for 4 months. Drivers begin delivering groceries and medicines. The organization creates new protocols for safe transportation of riders and provides PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for all drivers and riders when rides resume in August. Despite COVID’s challenges, we provide 261 rides and deliveries in 2020.

In March, N2N provides its first ride. St. George citizens approve an allocation of town funds to support the program. Donations from the St. George Community Group and other generous neighbors provide additional support.

2012

A group of St. George neighbors meets to discuss how to provide assistance to St. George senior residents and others. They identify transportation as the first critical need. The ideas are presented at a public meeting in May. Trish Barnes and Rosemary Limmen create a logo and create and distribute N2N promotional materials.
