Who can use Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N)?

N2N serves residents of Port Clyde, Martinsville, Tenants Harbor, Wiley’s Corner, Spruce Head, Clark Island or anywhere in St. George

What is the cost?

There is no charge for rides from N2N.

To what locations does N2N provide rides?

Most of the rides we provide are local.  We take riders to medical appointments, grocery shopping, hair, and other appointments or to the bank.  We provide rides locally within St. George for Senior Luncheons, library and church events, voting, and visits with friends.  Most rides take 2 to 3 hours, door to door. Occasionally we have requests for medical appointments in Damariscotta or Portland.

We cannot provide rides for anyone experiencing a health emergency. Our drivers are not EMTs. In a case of emergency, call “911” for immediate help.

Do N2N Drivers provide rides on evenings and weekends?

N2N does provide occasional rides on evenings and weekends.  We have provided rides Wednesday evening to Knox Clinic as well as rides for errands or to attend church on the weekends.

Who will drive me?

Our drivers are your neighbors. They are St. George volunteers who have been carefully vetted and enjoy meeting new people. Confidentiality is always respected.

How do I ask for a ride?

Simply give us a few days’ notice to find an available driver, whether it’s a one-time need or a regular appointment.

How do I reimburse Neighbor to Neighbor or my driver?

N2N drivers are residents of St. George. They volunteer their time and vehicles to provide transportation for their neighbors. There is no charge for these rides. In fact, for liability purposes, our volunteers may not accept payment or tips. N2N is a non-profit organization and will happily accept donations.
